Emma Tanner

Emma Tanner joined the President Lincoln's Cottage team full-time in February 2024. The previous year, she earned her MA in Museum Studies from George Washington University with a concentration in museum management. She also holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to moving to D.C., she worked as a Curatorial Assistant at the Harvard University Herbaria where she digitized historical plant specimens. In addition to her work in museums, Emma loves to write and has published articles for WETA's local history website Boundary Stones. She also has a publication about Washington, D.C.'s history coming out in August 2024.
