Last Weekend to See "Deep & Subtle Expression"

This is the last weekend to view the special exhibition, “A Deep and Subtle Expression: Lincoln in Sculpture – Works from National Trust Collections, ” which closes on December 19th, 2008.   The exhibition, located in the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center at President Lincoln’s Cottage, is open during regular visitor hours.

Collections in the show are exclusively from Historic Sites of the National Trust for Historic Preservation including: President Lincoln’s Cottage, Woodrow Wilson House, Chesterwood Estate & Museum, and Villa Finale.

The exhibition features sculptural works from the likes of L.W. Volk and Daniel Chester French, as well as two studies for the newly installed sculpture of Lincoln and his horse at President Lincoln’s Cottage.

Ms. Mast is the Curator for President Lincoln’s Cottage.
