In 1861, Lincoln appealed to the “better angels of our nature” and his words echo back to us today. In times of political strife and anxiety, we are reminded of his wisdom: ballots over bullets, reflection before action, connection instead of division.

Join President Lincoln’s Cottage and compassion educator, Laura Banks, for a workshop to explore how cultivating a feeling of connection with others and appreciating the contributions of others to our lives can help us remember that we need each other, especially during these challenging times. In these very rooms, President Lincoln met with both likeminded friends as well as those who challenged his beliefs. Lincoln knew he needed both. So do we.

We invite you to bring a friend or loved one – likeminded or not.
