President Lincoln’s Cottage is closed only three days each year–Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day! Regular hours are in effect all other days of the week surrounding a holiday. Therefore, the schedule for Thanksgiving Week 2009 is:
Monday, November 23-Wednesday, November 25, 2009
Visitor Center: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Cottage Tours: First tour at 10am, Last tour at 3pm (Tours on the hour)
Thursday, November 26, 2009
Closed for Thanksgiving Day
Friday, November 27- Saturday, November 28, 2009
Visitor Center: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Cottage Tours: First tour at 10am, Last tour at 3pm (Tours on the hour)
Sunday, November 29, 2009
Visitor Center: 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Cottage Tours: First Tour at 12pm, Last tour at 4PM (Tours on the hour)
Please note that there are limited spots per tour and a limited number of tours per day. Particularly if you’re planning on visiting the site Friday-Sunday, we encourage you to book your tickets in advance to guarantee your spot on a tour. Last year, tours the day after Thanksgiving sold out quickly.
