All of our visitors are welcome and encouraged to take exterior photos of the Cottage for personal use. Interior photography was prohibited in the Cottage shortly after opening, due to the negative impact it had on the tour experience for other visitors.
Photo Days at the Cottage
In spring 2009, President Lincoln’s Cottage will open the Cottage for specific times on one or more dates for “photography days.” On these select dates, photographers will be allowed to take interior (and exterior) photos of the Cottage for personal use. Photographers will be encouraged to enter their top 3 photos in a contest hosted by President Lincoln’s Cottage for the Lincoln Bicentennial year.
