On August 6th 2013, volunteers from the NRECA Benefits Update Conferences visited President Lincoln’s Cottage and the Soldiers’ Home to pitch in on some preservation projects and meet with veterans. Volunteers waxed the Lincoln statue, sanded the doors, scraped old paint off railings and applied fresh paint inside the Robert H. Smith Visitor Education Center.
